Camanchaca predicts fishmeal prices to rise 18% in 2013 on Chinese demand, record salmon production

　　Chilean fish feed company Camanchaca said the company expects fishmeal prices to rise significantly through the remainder of the year as Peruvian pelagic fishing has trended downwards while Chinese demand and Chilean salmon production levels have both increased, setting a preimium for fishmeal in 2013.
　　
　　According to the company fishmeal prices are set to hit US$1,750 per ton this year, up 18 percent compared with US$1,478 per ton the commodity commanded in 2012.
　　
　　Camanchaca has noted increased demand for fishmeal from China, but with Peruvian pelgaic fishing quotas down this year, supplies have been low, sending the market upwards.
　　
　　Additionally, Chilean salmon production has recovered, exceeding pre-ISA levels and on track to eclipse 2012 figures; remarkably global demand has kept up with production so far in 2013 helping market prices climb to near five-year highs during the first half of 2013.
　　
　　However, the industry has said 2014 production will decrease compared with current levels and most salmon farming companies have adjusted their production plans over the next two to three years.

　　中國水產(chǎn)頻道獨(dú)家報(bào)道，據(jù)智利Camanchaca魚飼料公司預(yù)計(jì)，魚粉價格將大幅上升。這一預(yù)測來自今年下半年秘魯遠(yuǎn)洋漁業(yè)捕撈配額下降，而中國需求量和智利的三文魚產(chǎn)量都有增加，因此判斷2013年魚粉溢價。
　　
　　據(jù)該公司統(tǒng)計(jì)，今年魚粉價格達(dá)到1.750美元/噸，與去年的1.478美元/噸相比，同比增長18％。
　　
　　Camanchaca公司已經(jīng)料到中國魚粉需求增加，而今年秘魯?shù)倪h(yuǎn)洋漁業(yè)捕撈配額下降，供應(yīng)量減少，使得市場價格高企。
　　
　　此外，智利三文魚產(chǎn)量已恢復(fù)，與2012年水平相當(dāng)。2013年迄今為止全球需求顯著提升，緊跟產(chǎn)量上漲，使2013年上半年三文魚市場價格攀升至近五年至高點(diǎn)。
